Keeping toxic cleaners and medications out of pets’ reach is one way to avoid a potentially fatal poisoning, but even everyday foods and household plants can send cats and dogs on an emergency trip to the vet.
For example, feeding grapes to a dog can cause kidney failure, and Tylenol is a deadly dosage for cats.
Common indoor plants used for decorations lure cats as a fun and tasty toy. But digestion of an Easter lily or Mother-in-Law Plant can cause serious problems, even death. Some symptoms might include vomiting and diarrhea.
