Dog worms
This is very useful information about dog worms,
Worming is a common problems with dogs and has a number of unpleasant side effects such as a loss of weight, bloated stomach and diarrhoea. The most common roundworms around are the toxocara canis. Eliminating them is a must as they can be easily transmitted to children and, if left untreated over a long period of time, can lead to their blindness. As a result of this potential danger researchers have come up with a number of different solutions to help relieve your pet from worming.
Vets generally recommend that a dog’s treatment for worms begins from the age of 2 weeks old. To be on the safe side vets further recommend that your puppy is actually treated when he is 2, 4, 6, 8, 16 and 24 weeks old. After this rigorous treatment, his adult routine of every 3-6 months may start. It is vital that a nursing bitch is treated at the same time as her puppies.
Treatment comes in different forms and it is up to you to decide which you find most suitable for your puppy. A dog’s dosage and type of treatment depends on his age and weight.
