hello, this is a vet’s reply.I have just seen a case in my surgery today and done some research regarding this disease.

first of all I recommend you to visit your vet, so that he/she can have a proper look and if possible, to check the whole cat as this lesions may look similar to others and your vet needs to link few things together to make a presumptive diagnosis.
now, the best way to diagnose this is doing a biopsy, but sometimes it is enough as I said just to link few things together and you get the answer.

the vet will assess the lesions and may give you antibiotics or steroid treatment, and, boy, it will be a long run with this disease but improvement is possible with conservative treatment.

so, good luck and hope your cat will get better!!!!!

Hello My cat has this disease. I’ve took her to the vet and they told me that it is a allergy from fleas. He gave her a shot of depo-medrol and it helped for a few days and then they were all swollen again. I haven’t had the money to take her back and I was wondering if there is anything over the counter that I could do for her till I can get her back in. Thank you very much.
