we got a question from visitor, here’s the question

Hello,

Today, while bathing my dog, I noticed a terrible condition on his
skin. After moving his fur back and examining closer I noticed that this
was a hole (a little smaller than a golf ball) in my dog’s left hine leg
near his rear. There was no immediate signs of bleeding but I could see
his leg muscle. The water (warm) from the bath didn’t seem to bother
his leg, however, it seemed to be sore to him as I touched aroud the
area. I have never seen anything like this on my dog and am worried that
it might be an infection, disease, or wound from another dog and may
just be healing. Could you please take a look at the picture below and let
me know what this may be.

Thank you,

if anyone can help , you can reply via comment coloum

It looks similar to what my shih tzu had on her neck and now near her jaw. The vet says it is caused by moisture and allergies in the area and prescribed a spray to treat it. I can’t remember what the spray was called, but I am calling the vet tomorrow to get more.

    Hello,

My mother found a similar hole 2 days on one of her German Shepherds. What exactly is that condition and what can be used to treat such a thing? How is your dog doing now?

    Thanks.
