Dog grooming has its own significance in pet care. It not only improves the look of your pet, but also provides it with better health.
All things such as brushing, bathing, and cleaning of the ears need to be carried out regularly, and by doing so, you can keep your pet healthy.
It is important that you brush your pet every day to keep your pet’s hair dirt free. It also spreads natural oil, which in turn prevents tangling of hair and keeps the skin clean and irritation free. If you make grooming a routine, then your pet will eventually begin to enjoy it.
Another important part of your pet that needs cleaning is the nails. It is important that you trim the nails of your pet once a month. Always use a clipper that is specifically designed for the type of pet you have.

We have a wonderful gentle natured dog that I adopted about 8 years ago. Unfortunately she was a bit neglected and was very timid when I brought her home. She had previously belonged to someone who lived nearby and I had spent the last few months making sure she had food and fresh water so we were already well acquainted.
Meisha is her name and I would say she is a cross between a collie and a husky. She is a beautiful mix of grays and white with a little black mixed in. Up until a couple summers ago I had always taken her in to be groomed and trimmed, but I had forgotten to make an appointment for her one time and the next thing I knew her groomer was booked up for the next couple of months.

Brushing and combing your dog should be made into a pleasant ritual. Select a place to do the grooming-a chair, table or bench will be satisfactory. Lift the dog onto the chair or table, talking to him, reassuring him that all is well. Let him know that he’s in for a treat, not an ordeal. Let him sniff each tool; the comb, brush, nail clippers and scissors. It’s very important that he learn to associate these tools with a pleasant experience. Handle the situation with tact and care, and the pup will look forward to it. Botch the job and you will be looking for the pup the next time you bring out the grooming tools.
When brushing the puppy, stroke the brush with and against the lie of the hair. This will help to loosen dead hair and stimulate the skin. Use a brush with the correct bristle length; short for medium- and short-haired dogs, long bristles for long-haired dogs. If you do any combing, use a fine comb for the short-haired dog and a comb with widely spaced teeth for the long-haired, medium-haired and wirehaired dogs. You can bring out the gloss in your dog’s coat by polishing with a flannel cloth or one of the commercial grooming gloves. These grooming gloves are available in pet shops or pet supply stores. Many people will have a new puppy join their family around the Christmas season. Some dogs need to be groomed on a regular basis. I will share a story about why it is important to be careful about choosing a groomer.
I had a schnauzer named: “Kuddles and I didn’t know anything about choosing a groomer. So, I called a local pet shop and asked what I thought were good questions and received good answers. So, I dropped my precious dog off there. When, I picked her up after the grooming was finished – she had cuts all over her. I felt so bad for her and I was more careful when choosing the next groomer. I finally found one that worked through a vet’s office and was kind and had compassion for Kuddles. She even offered to let me stay during the grooming.

Does Fido have some pesky varmints that bother him night and day? You can incorporate with your pet grooming a vet-recommended flea shampoo or one suggested by a reputable pet supply store. Remember to use it only on animals that the product is intended for, as some products can be harsh, especially when it comes to cats! Depending on the size of your pet, proper usage or dosing may be different for the size and species of animal. Also when it comes to bath time, the water temperature should be kept only slightly warm or even cool because your dog may overheat easily. What feels warm to you may be too warm for your dog.

Dogs make an excellent pet and have been considered since time immoral, men’s best friend. Since we love so much our dogs, we always want them to remain clean, healthy and fit. Dogs need very good cleaning and grooming for keeping them healthy. Some simple tips are given below:
To keep the teeth clean, you need to brush their teeth everyday, two times just like we brush our own teeth. We must avoid forming plaque on their teeth. This habit should start right when dogs are little puppies.
When you feed your dog in after noon you can give carrots. Carrots are hard food and act as teeth scraper also. Always try to give hard food to your dog, not the soft canned food. Soft food might look good but in fact spoils the teeth of pets very much.

Before we begin to give you additional information on this topic, take a moment to think about what you already know.
Cats are basically very tidy creatures. They are in the habit of grooming themselves by licking every part of their body clean with their tongue.
