In the wake of successful GDV surgery, our 11 year old standard poodle developed a serious problem with intractable vomiting. We were able to resolve the issue by building the dog's ability to hold food down slowly but methodically, starting with a veterinary formulation that had a pasty consistency. Small, frequent feedings (3-4 meals a day) were gradually enlarged and the number of feedings was reduced. Now, 12 weeks post surgery, the dog has gained back 7 pounds, and tolerates a mixture of a low residue wet food with dry kibble. Most of the vets who looked at Samson were ready to film him and to scope him. All he really needed was time to heal and to re-acclimate to a normal diet.

No no, dont have him put down... Try and keep him out of the sun and try some. "Dr. Harvey's Healing cream". 2 weeks of keeping our little guy out of the sun and applying this cream twice a day worked like a charm!
