<p>My puppy started out with a dry hacking cough, then it developed into a runny<br />
nose and lack of energy.  She doesn&#8217;t have a fever.  She has been on<br />
medicine for 6 days and only getting worse.</p>

<p>In your case it might be wrong therapy.<br />
I don&#8217;t know what kind of antibiotic was given, but usually Amoxiclave or cephalosporines are the best choice for respiratory infections. You must know that not only bacteria, but viruses too can cause infection or both. In this case antibiotics are suppriming the bacterial infection and helping body to fight against viruses. Administer B-complex vitamins for better immunity.<br />
Examine blood  sample: blood cells.</p>
